Object Remix

To me, one of the main reasons object mashups are created is to get a reaction from the viewer. That reaction could be anything, from confusion, to laughter, to having the viewer stop and really think about what they're looking at. While many of the mashups don't necessarily have a purpose, or aren't useful, the relationships between the objects and what they're supposed to be representing can send a clear message/evoke a reaction.

"Beetle"
This object was created as a play on words, using models for a both the bug type of beetle and the car.

"Flower Grenades"
This object replaces the typical flower shape with a model of a grenade, as my interpretation of some people's connection between peace and war, i.e. the belief that in order for there to be peace, there has to be violence.

"Sword Umbrella"
This object serves as an umbrella, a sword, and its sheath. This object has multiple uses, whether it be cover on a rainy day, concealed protection for any situation, or simply to get a reaction out of somebody (usually laughter, I'd assume)

"Bike Glasses"
These novelty glasses are made using various parts from a bicycle. While they don't have any real use, they would certainly make a statement.

"Sakura Tissues"
This object was made using models for a sakura branch and a tissue box, meant to make the viewer feel a sense of calm.

"Tripod Chair"
This object was made using a model of an armchair, and parts from a tripod. It can swivel around like a desk chair, as well as tilt back and forth. It isn't exactly convenient, but it's certainly different.

"Garden Spade"
This object is a parody of a normal garden spade, replacing the shovel end with the spade suite from a deck of cards.

"Paint Gun"
This object, made with a model of a rubber band gun and a paint can, is meant to make the viewer think, as well as having somewhat of a shock factor. It takes the idea of a paint gun and puts it into a more literal sense.

"Dynamite Incense"
While looking at objects online as well as in my own apartment, I found that a stick of dynamite could be manipulated to closely resemble incense. This discovery is what prompted the creation of this object, and the smoke was later added mainly for aesthetics.

"Donut Handcuffs"
While making this object, I originally used a model for donuts simply because they were round, but I then realized this could also symbolize the stereotype that cops love to eat donuts.
